Don’t denigrate the opposition. In business this is your new mantra and in politics, well, look at what happened in France. The left whined about the right from the begininng to the end whilst never really proposing anything different and they got steamrolled. To make it worse they pretended like they had won when they had just lost by a clear majority. Translation – we think our voters are stupid enough to swallow this and at some point if the right screws it up we will jump on them.

I have a number of real experiences where our company has gained contracts by actually praising the competition. They are very good at doing this. We on the other hand do this and this is why you should consider going with us. Not only is it good business, it’s honest and at the end of the day you feel much better. It’s like Thai food with lemongrass. You eat it and it feels like you have just brushed your teeth. No one likes someone who complains or someone who gossips. When talking to potential clients do neither.

Remember what my father used to say – if people talk to you about others you can be sure they will talk to others about you.
